Mandalas are circular designs signifying wholeness. They have been used in healing for centuries by cultures the world over because of their transformative effect. In her powerful workshops, Lily Mazurek takes participants on a journey, exploring Mandalas and how they’ve been used around the world. The process of discovering personal symbolism through practice of color and shape follows next. Finally, participants go through a preparation process after which one issue is explored through guided Mandala-making. The Workshop takes places in a safe, supportive environment accompanied by music. No art experience is needed to participate. The Mandalas produced in Ms. Mazurek’s workshops are similar in style to the organic, curvilinear ones created by Dr. Carl Jung and his patients. Please note that all art materials are included in your class fee.

The Who and What of the Workshops:
The Mandalas can be made individually, in a series, or as part of a group process or group Mandala. They can be created in a spiritual context or a secular one. The powerful Mandala Workshop experience is appropriate for anyone, whether healthy or ill--adults, teens, children, college students, seniors, the disabled, families, couples, individuals, friends, teachers, coworkers, and palliative care practitioners.

Issues that participants have addressed in the workshops include: weight loss, back pain, incest, family relationships, partner relationships, divorce, loss, work problems, financial challenges, health, and self-image. Ms. Mazurek has conducted workshops in settings such as: universities, churches, oncology and AIDS conferences, cancer centers, metaphysical centers, and private sessions with groups and individuals.

Mandala Workshops and Seminars with Lily Mazurek

In the study of Mandalas with the Mazurek Method, each Workshop builds on the one before. However, the Introduction, and Level I Workshop can be taken by themselves. For other Workshops above the Level I or for Teacher Certification, the Introduction and Level I must be completed first. Other requirements are noted below. Please note: No art experience is necessary to take these workshops.

Introduction to the Mandala
Find out what a Mandala is and how cultures all over the world use them. Explore why they work. You will do an open-eyed meditation and process-oriented Mandala coloring activity to help gain clarity on a question in your life. This Intro is a pre-requisite for Level I, II, and III Mandala Workshops, and Teacher Certification.

Level I: The Art of the Mandala
The Level I Workshop is a closer look at the art of the Mandala. It includes an in-depth survey of Mandalas in other cultures, and their purposes, as well as observation of natural Mandalas. Depending on location, a short field trip outdoors may be included. You will also explore various definitions and expressions of Mandalas in daily life and around the world, and discover your personal iconography. Using the Mazurek Method, which is a body-based process, you will make your own Mandala through a guided meditation and creative visualization, accompanied by music, followed by discussion. You will choose one issue as your Mandala focus.

Level II: The Science of the Mandala
The Level II Workshop continues the study of Mandalas in greater depth by focusing on the science, origins, and structure of these circular wonders. More complex designs are examined and the connection to quantum physics and sacred geometry is explored. Using the Mazurek Method once again, this time you will create your own geometric Mandala. Workshop includes a meditation and creative visualization with music, and discussion.

Level III: The Sound of the Mandala
The Level III Workshop is like no other! It delves into the amazing connection between Mandalas and sound. The work of pioneers Dr. Hans Jenny, Dr. Masaru Emoto and others are explored. A fascinating connection to crop circles is also studied. Enhanced Mandala-making process includes the Mazurek Method, meditation and creative visualization, chanting, music, and discussion.

Level IV: Mandalas and the Group Experience
The Level IV Workshop is for groups such as families, friends, business gatherings, and religious or therapeutic communities. Besides creating individual Mandalas, the group will create a large Mandala together. This is an excellent workshop for building teamwork and cooperation, and may be conducted indoors or outdoors. The Introduction to the Mandala is a pre-requisite or may be built into this workshop session. Workshop incorporates the Mazurek Method, a guided meditation and creative visualization, music, and debriefing.
Materials:
Your choice. You can choose our usual materials as listed in above workshops or other materials, or if conducted outdoors, natural materials can be used from the site. Length: 4-6 hours, depending on group size.

Speaking From the Heart
Speaking in front of others can be a frightening experience, but fear no more! In this fun workshop the expressive and healing power of the spoken word are explored as you learn techniques that will make you feel comfortable and natural in public speaking. Can be held as single mentoring session or a 6 week course. Individual or group classes are available. This course is a pre-requisite for Mandala Teacher Certification. Mandala Teacher Certification
If you enjoy the benefits of Mandala-making and would like to assist others on their journey, the Mandala Teacher Certification in the Mazurek method is for you. Learn valuable teaching techniques and methods of presentation, as well as ways of personalizing your class content and style. Pre-requisites: All four levels of Mandala Workshops, plus Speaking From the Heart. Certification coursework also includes study of color, shape, symbolism including sacred symbols, spiritual studies, energy work, meditation, and teaching protocols.
